Russia Accuses Zelensky of Being “Obsessed” With War, Says Its Goals Remain Unchanged

Moscow, Russia – Russia has reiterated its unchanging objectives in Ukraine, accusing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of being “obsessed” with prolonging the war following his recent visit to Washington.

Russia’s Stance on the Ongoing Conflict

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova reaffirmed that Moscow’s goals remain the same—which include:

  • Demilitarization of Ukraine
  • Denazification of Ukraine
  • Recognition of the current realities on the ground

Zakharova accused Zelensky of fueling the conflict, stating that he is determined to continue the fighting instead of seeking a resolution.

Tensions Rise Amid Zelensky’s Washington Visit

The comments from Moscow come shortly after Zelensky’s trip to Washington, where he sought additional support from the United States to bolster Ukraine’s defenses against Russian aggression.

With the war showing no signs of de-escalation, international pressure and military dynamics continue to shape the conflict’s future.
